Table Talk With T-Pain and Travis McCoy

So basically what is going on here is that Travis was at Wal-Mart and some girl thought he was a jerk and T-Pain thought he was a jerk because he has tattoos and is super tall. Then they talk Nappy Boy Entertainment and then Voltron. Then T-Pain said he wanted to be Voltron’s electronic penis. The end.

The Real Four Elements of Hip-Hop

hiphopisdead

Last week I got into a heated Facebook status war with some pie-hole who tried duking it out with me over how many elements of Hip-Hop there “really” were. I say four – Deejaying, B-Boying, Graffiti writing, and Emceeing. Dude replies like “Oh you forgot knowledge, production, fashion.” Okay dude, stop counting things that happened afterward. Then he sent a Zulu quote about knowledge and I blocked him from my Facebook account. I say four and I am sticking with four. However, it turns out we were both wrong:

FAIL: “Single Ladies” Response

Who are they and why are they doing this?

See this is the type of thing that should be outlawed. It reminds us of Sporty Thieves’ response to TLC’s “No Scrubs” with “No Pigeons”…it’s not cute. We’ll call these dudes Sasha Farce. Fail.

THE FIRST GAY RAPPER

They had it all. Lambda Lambda Lambda HAD IT ALL. They could pop, break dance, and even do the inch worm. They had a guitarist named Booger. They also had that electro-synth that T-Pain, Kanye West and Common would kill for.

Lastly…they had a Native American gonger. And a rapper named Llmar – the first gay rapper.

The Nerds are triumphant some 25 years into the future.

YO GABBA GABBA BIZ MARKIE BEAT BOXY

Biz Markie might be the most talented person in Hip-Hop. Not only can he rap, beat box and DJ, but he does pretty well with the kids. No, not in an R. Kelly manner! Biz used to a beat per day for zany kids show “Yo Gabba Gabba.” Check out as he schools the kids on how to bust a beat with your beak!

And check out these audio treats!

THE TALK BOX KID OWNS POSERS

The Autotune is the most unnerving phenomenon of the year. While it has its place in the art of making music, its like a prescription drug that gets in the hands of an addict. Oh, and Hip-Hop and R&B are crack heads to Auto tune.

Stevie Wonder and Roger Troutman get credit for being early adopters of the Autotune sound, but they actually used the device called the Talk Box. This is a musical enhancer with a tube that you shoved down your mouth. Stevie and Roger made it seem effortless, but most others looked like they were patients in the ICU trying to sing…

And then there is Talk Box Kid. Oh, yes…he’s a phenom in his own mind and on youtube. A rebel that sings without a pause.

All you Autotune herbs, bacdacfucup – TALK BOX KID IS HERE!

“Love Lockdown”

“Buy You A Drank”

“California Love” (R.I.P. Roger!)

Will he eventually be Talk Box Man? We hope so, you thankless posers.
